Someone sits criss cross applesauce with a pile of albums in her lapy and at her feet.

To read

I Didn’t Buy Any Clothes For A Year And Repaired Everything Instead. Here’s What I Learned
British Vogue

I began mending clothes a couple of years ago in my Year of No Shopping, but this Vogue editor took it to a new level, and links to TONS of mending options. This is a saver article, imho. She even hemmed her late father’s high-end suits to fit herself. Genius!

To listen

No New Things: A Radically Simple 30-Day Guide to Saving Money, the Planet, and Your Sanity
by Ashlee Piper
I’m sure this is a great read, but I personally loved listening to Ashlee read it herself. And I plan to re-listen to it this month with you! I am ready for another majorly scaled-back year in spending. Ashlee’s method - but also her early chapters laying out the history of consumerism - is highly motivating.

To do

Create your 2025 Annual Heirloom Album.

You guys, my online class, The Annual Heirloom Album, is celebrating its 4th Anniversary!

So I audited it and made some updates.
I’m pleased to report that I stand by these methods. I still use the same systems. I’m using them right now, as I create my own 2025 Annual Heirloom Album. Still, I’ve jeuged my system a bit. So, I added a new lesson (regarding how I work with OneDrive). My students already get access to these upgrades. Remember, when you buy the class, you get lifetime access.

This coming year, I plan to study how we can use Microsoft Copilot in our photo organizational goals. After all, we’re paying for it with our Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.

To celebrate the updates and the new year, the class is 30% off. Use code ANNI30. Valid through January 12, 2026.

To audit

Holiday Decor.

What didn’t make the cut this past holiday season? What remained in boxes? What did you grow out of? What did your kids grow out of?
Let it go.
Donate, sell, whatever you prefer. But let the good tidings of holiday cheer decorate another’s home.

5.

To remember

Once a month, we declutter and organize our photos & videos from last month. We do not - I repeat, we do not - make a mountain out of a molehill. We tend to the monthly molehill so it doesn’t become a mountain! 📸
