A Sentimental Minimalist’s Gift Guide 2025

This gift guide is all about
female-owned businesses
that offer services and experiences.

Even a minimalist can use the services of an organizer.

Have you heard that I live in a teeny house? That we downsized about 30 years ahead of schedule? M’kay. Well, this fall we updated an original built-in with new, usable drawers and shelves. So I hired The Baer Minimalist team to get them custom-sized liners that actually work.

The Baer Minimalist does big projects in big homes. But this team doesn’t discriminate when it comes to square footage. (One might even argue that the small spaces need the most help to optimize functionality.) Fill out TBM Intake Form, and they will arrange the gift card for you! Perfect stocking stuffer.

What if you’re committed to secondhand clothing, but you’re also committed to fashion? What if you’re committed to second-hand, fashionable items, but you have zero patience or time to sort through the muck to find the gems?

Allow me to introduce you to Christie at wise.thrifts. She’s a high-end designer and vintage buyer, and secondhand stylist. Christie gets to know her clients, tracks items they like, and offers selections for any occasion. You can even request specific items! Trip of a lifetime? Fancy night out? DM Christie.

A personal shopper, but make it secondhand-chic.

Create Art Studio

Create Art Studio was born of the vision of two friends who saw a need for a process-based art studio in the heart of Broad Ripple.

Alissa Moody and Christie Sweigart’s vision has turned into a full-fledged community of artists and makers. Classes and private events are available for every age. I started there as a student, taking an embroidery class. Now I teach my photo and album organizing classes.

My mom recently celebrated a birthday, and I got her a gift card from Create. She and I will pick a class and take it together next year. I can’t wait.

Meg Hanna Astrology

Meg Hanna’s astrology readings are a treat. But they’re also legit informative. Plus, she records them so you can re-listen over time. (She packs a lot into each reading, so I love this feature because you can’t digest it all during the session.)

I’m a longtime lover of Astrology. I have a lot of respect for the stars. But I’d never gotten a reading until Mother’s Day. It was the perfect gift for someone who does not want gifts.

What’s more, Meg tapped into essential threads of my story. Then she gave me two dates to take note of. And she was right.

Gift yourself or that fave person in your life a Deep Dive with Meg.

Less is Maura Albums

Last but not least: me. Haha. Friends, I love making albums. While it’s too late for an album to arrive in time to slide under the tree this year, it’s not too late to grab a gift card for a stocking stuffer.

From weddings to retirements, significant birthdays to the trips of a lifetime, your kids’ art collection to your memory bins, every album is an absolute honor to create.

Are you a do-it-yourself kind of person? Sign up for my online class, work at your own pace on your own timeline, and wrangle the 1,000s of photos once and for all. It’s a simple system that I wish someone had taught me years ago. So, I taught myself and then turned it into a class. It’s the gift of memory-making relief.
